Faith is not passive. It’s not simply believing when life is easy or when outcomes are clear. Faith is the decision to actively step beyond your comfort zone — even when everything around you says “stay still.”
Glọ Avante made that decision.
In the middle of her cancer treatment, when her body was weak and the future uncertain, Glọ chose to rise. Not just in strength, but in purpose. She refused to let fear and grief define her.
Instead, she expanded.
She ministered to fellow patients in the hospital, offering encouragement and prayer to others walking the same difficult road. She cooked meals for the very nurses caring for her — a small act of kindness that spoke volumes about her heart.
Through it all, she didn’t retreat inward — she stretched outward.
Glọ’s story reminds us of Isaiah 54:2 — “Enlarge the place of your tent… stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back.”
Even in suffering, she made room for others.
Even in weakness, she found ways to serve.
Even in uncertainty, she expected great things from God — and attempted great things for Him.
Her life is a living sermon:
Faith doesn’t wait for comfort. It moves in courage.
