Fear Into Boldness

By Mycah Morada

Being the type of a person who is very afraid to approach people, I’ve had this fear of sharing my faith. But when I joined CCBC Witness, my life has never been the same again.

This awesome journey with God started when I was still 9 years old. I trained to share the Gospel the EE Way through Evangecube and then through Hope for Kids. The trainings ended yet the journey continued on. I didn’t stop sharing the gospel to my friends, classmates, and even to people who were strangers to me.

“The kids that I shared the gospel with Prayed to Receive Christ and most of them are still active in their churches up to now.”

One of the memorable times that I shared the gospel was when my mom and I went to Kansurok for DVBS with volunteers who were very passionate about witnessing, like Tita Linda Valiente and Tita Neth Panganiban.

The kids that I shared the gospel with prayed to receive Christ and most of them are still active in their churches up to now. After a while, my mom, Lezzie Morada, also became a part of the Witness Core which paved the way for me to be always present with her during their meetings and trainings. Thus, Pastor Rene Atienza, the Core Leader and a very passionate witness of Christ, invited me to train for WWL or Witnessing as a Way of life.

“My fear He turned into boldness in sharing His Gospel
by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

In this training I’ve learned from him that we need to train others and multiply. His passion and humble leadership encouraged me to accept his invitation to be one of the members of the core.

Sadly, the COVID-19 outbreak happened and became a pandemic, halting face-to-face activities in the church, including trainings for WWL. However, my journey in witnessing did not stop there.

Our faithful God prepared QuickShare training even before the pandemic hit. It is designed for online evangelism training as well as witnessing. Amidst the pandemic situation, we pressed on.

I started as a student and later on became a facilitator. It was a privilege for me to train my brothers, cousins, as well as some of the members of our church in Tarlac through QuickShare. And as I train others, I am blessed and thankful that I have my mother by my side to guide and disciple me.

Indeed, my life has never been the same again since I joined God where He is at work. My fear He turned into boldness in sharing His Gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many souls were added to His family. Numbers were trained and are still being trained. We can be bearers of the Good News that this world so greatly needs, just as what Paul admonished to Timothy:

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine…
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions,
do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

2 Timothy 4:2 & 5
