Every Sunday, a lively classroom comes to life with the joyful noise of children aged 9 to 12—affectionately called the “in-betweens” by their teachers. They’re at that special stage where they’re no longer little kids, but not quite teens either. Despite their differences in age, personalities, and even faith, their classroom overflows with laughter, curiosity, and a genuine eagerness to know more about Christ.

Each lesson is thoughtfully crafted to meet the children’s unique needs and interests. Their teachers use engaging activities such as action songs, Bible reading, group discussions, Q&A sessions, and creative worksheets like puzzles and “spot the difference” exercises. Every task is designed to make learning both fun and meaningful, connecting biblical truths to real-life experiences.

Though challenges come—especially when teaching children from families of different faiths, the teachers see this as part of their mission: to share God’s love with gentleness and understanding. And as the once-shy children begin to receive encouragement and affirmation, their confidence blooms. They start sharing ideas, reading boldly, and helping one another—a beautiful sign of growth, both in faith and character.

As these dedicated teachers continue to disciple young hearts, their efforts remind us of the importance of prayer. Let us pray for the children, that they may grow strong and mature in faith and be led to salvation, and for their teachers, that they may be strengthened with wisdom, patience, and love as they nurture the next generation of believers.
