Every Sunday, the CCBC Kids’ classrooms for ages 4 to 8 follow the Elementary Curriculum and Sharefaith Kids lessons. Each class is filled with talkative, energetic, shy, and curious children. Some are natural leaders, others are happy to follow along. There are also kids with special needs who bring their own joy and warmth, making the classroom a lively mix of stories, personalities, and energy.
For the Sunday School teachers, this ministry brings both encouragement and challenge. They delight in sharing God’s Word, helping children understand Bible stories, and guiding them through crafts and activities that strengthen their faith. At the same time, they navigate the ups and downs of keeping children focused, managing their energy, and ensuring everyone feels seen and cared for.
With creativity and patience, the teachers make every activity, from games, Bible reading, and storytelling to group discussions and artworks, meaningful for each child. Their greatest reward is seeing the children’s excitement to learn about God and witnessing their faith take root in simple yet sincere ways.
As they continue to serve, let us pray for renewed strength, patience, and wisdom for our teachers, and that more assistant teachers will join to support the growing number of students. May they continue to rely on God, who strengthens and sustains them in this ministry.
