The first half of 2021 allowed us to see more of the real situation of our young adults in the church, with most still trying to find their balance amidst the pandemic, particularly with their career, family responsibilities, and personal aspirations. Because of this, YAM events, engagement and responses were noticeably low. Nevertheless, we saw that our young adults were diligent in meeting their discipleship groups. We are thankful for the 28 small groups who meet regularly during this time. The attendance of the events may be lower compared to the previous years but God was still definitely on the move through our small groups. Praise God!
For the 2nd half of the year, we saw a significant growth in the ministry. The connect events, which happened every other month, started having more attendees and engagement. With discipleship, we were able to have 2 more learning groups, and a couple of YAs were also added to our life groups and life community. Our YAM leaders were also able to minister to the YA community through prayer and visitation. We have visited a total of 21 shepherds, while still following the safety protocols, and we are happy to have spent time and prayed for them. We are thankful for the dedication of our leaders, as well as the resources for this to become possible.
We praise God for all of these and we continue to come to the Lord as we prepare for 2022. We humbly ask that you also join us in praying on how we can continue to minister to the young adults, not only inside our church but also those whom we can connect with, especially with the limited face-to-face gatherings. We look forward to what God will continue to accomplish in and through this ministry!
